Dr Fiona Hammans

Recruitment Director

After an early career in research science, Fiona began teaching, rapidly being promoted to headship in a large, secondary school in England, which was internationally focused, welcoming children and young people from all parts of the globe. This expanded to a small group including two primary schools, a nursery and the setup of the first 'space specialism' school in the UK. She has a reputation for growing and developing leaders in her own schools, and more widely, most of whom are now highly successful headteachers themselves. She has current knowledge and experience at all phases of education and across the range of sizes, and across the breadth of type of school. Fiona brings her own leadership expertise; knowledge gleaned from working across the schools' sector, including multi-academy trusts; and experience as an inspector, to bear in supporting school leaders, governing bodies and Boards to meet their strategic goals. She is a member and trustee of a large multi-academy trust of fifteen schools in the south west region.
