Karachi Grammar School (KGS) is seeking to appoint an outstanding leader as Head of College, for January or September 2019.

KGS is a leading independent, English-medium school in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is a highly selective, coeducational day school serving approximately 2400 students aged between 3 and 19.

Established in 1847, KGS is the oldest private school in Pakistan and the second oldest in South Asia. Since the 1980’s KGS has expanded to a large institution that occupies three sites. There are three Heads who each take charge of one of the three major divisions of the School – Kindergarten and Nursery (Nursery to Class VI), Middle (Class VII to IX) and College (Class X to A-level).

The school are now seeking a Head of College who will:

  • develop a strategic vision for the College Section of the school and demonstrate an ability to articulate and indicate that he/she has the professional skill base and experience to deliver that vision;
  • be a strategic thinker, an educationalist abreast of change particularly in the field of digital technology with the capacity to inspire great learning and outcomes;
  • demonstrate visionary and inspirational leadership, whilst working exceptionally as part of a leadership team with the Principal and other Heads of Sections;
  • be an impressive ambassador for KGS both in Karachi and beyond.
