Dine & Discuss, it’s just a dinner and a chat, right?

Not quite.

Our long-standing thought leadership evenings each take a pressing issue of the moment that is surrounding education today. Previous topics have included:

📚 “Finding the Balance – homework, learning and wellbeing”
💷 “Coming in from the Cold: how for-profit education has become respectable”
👶 “Lifting our minds to the future – leading schools for Generation Alpha”

But the twist?

Our guestlist is an intimate group so that everyone can contribute – always a different combination of people – and crucially, all respecting the Chatham House rule.

Last week’s dinner at The Marylebone Hotel kicked off with an excellent talk entitled: “Soft Power, Hard Facts – the potential of international schools to shape the world”. The debate that followed was sparky and thought-provoking.

The story of Dine & Discuss

4 times a year, by invitation only, Dine & Discuss is a dinner which has a hard stop at 9.30pm, so that guests can easily make the last train home and be up for assembly the next day. It tackles the big issues that everyone wants to address but can’t quite do freely elsewhere, by creating an environment in which leaders can share their challenges and views with each other, knowing the Chatham House rule applies.

It has become a must-attend fixture in calendars since the first edition in 2012 and each has a different theme.
