AMC today announces a celebration of 20 years and new leadership for the future.
Founded in 2004 by Anthony Millard when international British education was increasing, AMC quickly became the go-to firm for school leadership search and recruitment. As Housemaster then interim Headmaster at Wells Cathedral School, Anthony Millard has held two HMC Headship tenures: Wycliffe College and Giggleswick in North Yorkshire. He was Chairman of the Boarding Schools Association, and prior to founding AMC, worked for Nord Anglia to develop their international education arm. With a unique, global network of senior educationalists and leaders, launching AMC in 2004 was the next logical step.
Over the last two decades, AMC has worked with more than 500 schools in 48 countries around the world. The company is a mouthpiece on current issues, has been called to comment on numerous occasions.
As the company moves to the future, its new leadership will be spearheaded by current Headmaster of Clifton Hall in Edinburgh, Rod Grant. As well as over three decades in education, Rod has launched and run a successful restaurant, and is at the cutting edge of socio-educational issues, often asked to comment by leading educational journalists.
Rod is delighted to be taking the helm at AMC. “I am thrilled to be embarking on this new chapter leading AMC and building on the 20 years of success of Anthony and the team. It’s a company I have been associated with for three years, so I have already got to know the core team and wider group of associates very well. I am excited to take the company into its next phase.”

I am thrilled that Rod is taking the reins of AMC because he embodies the founding values, while also bringing a fresh approach to the company. Rod Grant takes up the position from 8th January 2024.
