
Applications are invited for the role of Director of Education at Charterhouse Asia.
Reporting to the Founder and Chair of Charterhouse Asia, Ms. Sabrina Chao, the Director of Education will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the exceptional academic and holistic education expected of a Charterhouse school. This will involve both operational oversight of our current school in Kuala Lumpur and future schools established under the Charterhouse brand, as well as strategic planning and decision-making in the exploration, identification, negotiation, design, staffing and educational offering of promising new school opportunities and their subsequent development. The Head of Charterhouse Malaysia as well as the Heads of subsequent Charterhouse schools in the Group will report to the Director of Education.
Charterhouse Asia opened its first international school in Kuala Lumpur in 2021, now a thriving secondary school boasting an enviable record of academic success, with graduates securing places at an impressive range of leading universities in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and elsewhere.
Charterhouse Asia are seeking to appoint a Director of Education who:
Management experience in another field, such as the commercial sector, would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of living and working in Asia, particularly in an educational context.
The successful candidate would ideally be available to start in this role by August 1st 2026 or earlier if possible, but a later start date might be negotiable for an exceptional candidate.
This post commands an attractive package. The Director of Education will be based in Hong Kong but will need to travel frequently around the region.
